A Little Bit About Cheap Gauges
There are a number of reasons why you want to stretch your piercings. Standard piercings are very thin, made originally for post earrings. The problem is that with only standard piercings you are very limited in the number of styles you can wear. People are wearing up to 14 gauges now and most of the new styles are much thicker. The most commonly worn style is 10 gauges but this will take some stretching.
The great thing is that you can find tapering kits for less than $20 that will allow you to wear even tunnels and plugs. These kits have tapering in sizes from 0-14, from the largest to the smallest. But what kind of gauges is available out there? The newer styles are both solid and hollow cored, some have tribal motifs and some of the solid cores are solid centers with inset insects that resemble perfect amber pieces. You can find cheap gauges in many different woods, resins, polymers, amber, pearl, coconut wood, antler, and many other substances.
Cheap gauges and other types of body jewelry such as belly rings are best located on the internet and you should avoid using any precious metals or gems There are plenty of options other than gold or diamonds however. Modern gauges| are made with many different materials but natural materials other than precious metals seem to be highly favored. Some of this has to do the rising prices of these materials but much of it also has to do with changing fashion. More and more people are going in for the natural look and in some cases surgical steel is more fashionable than pure gold. A great deal of fashion today is either e friendly or hard edged. Using woods and things like amber is a very environmentally friendly way to wear jewelry and there is not much that lends a harder edge than steel.
